  14. We recently (2 days ago) purchased the USR Sportser Vi 28.8 (external) 
  15. and are having problems getting it to work with anything.  We tried 
  16. QuickLink II and Cheyenne Bitware F/D/V and neither works.  Terminal 
  17. programs can communicate with the modem; we have used trumpet 
  18. successfully.  In our troubleshooting process, we have come to the 
  19. conclusion that there is a windows COM problem.  We can get past the COM 
  20. test with the modem at COM 1 but cannot get even that far with COM 2.

  22. What should the control panel PORTS setup be?  What should system.ini 
  23. look like?  Any suggestions would be helpful as soon as possible or this 
  24. puppy is going back to compUSA!!  Thanx!
